A RESOLUTION to honor the South Side Class of 1976 on the occasion of its fiftieth class reunion. WHEREAS, high school reunions are an important part of the fabric of our society, as they provide an excellent opportunity to remember the past, renew old acquaintances, and embrace and look forward to the future; and WHEREAS, it is the great pleasure of the members of this General Assembly to honor the graduates of South Side High School's Class of 1976, who are joining together this year to celebrate their fiftieth class reunion on May 21-24, 2026, at The Guest House at Graceland in Memphis, with the theme "A Golden Legacy--50 Years of Strength, Spirit, and Scrapper Pride"; and WHEREAS, reunion activities will include time for reconnecting at The Guest House at Graceland, a class picnic on the historic school grounds of South Side High School, and a seventies-themed game night to be held at the Nyshari Bre & Desire Event Venue; the weekend will conclude with a worship service at River of Life M B Church and the reunion gala at Graceland; and WHEREAS, a great many of the members of the South Side High School Class of 1976, the distinguished Bicentennial Class, have gone on to achieve great things in life, truly making proud their classmates, their peers, and the …
