A RESOLUTION to honor and congratulate Brynn Smith upon being named to the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team. WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should recognize and commend those successful student athletes who, through their magnificent exploits, bring honor to Tennessee and serve as exceptional ambassadors of this State; and WHEREAS, Brynn Smith of Tusculum University is one such estimable individual, an athlete of extraordinary talent, skill, and dedication, who has proven herself a formidable competitor on the beach volleyball court; and WHEREAS, in recognition of her athletic excellence, Brynn Smith was recently named to the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas (SACC) All-Conference Second Team after enjoying an outstanding season with the Tusculum University Pioneers; and WHEREAS, a native of Wellsburg, Iowa, Ms. Smith earned all-conference honors last year, as well, earning first-team recognition as a member of Tusculum's top flight; and WHEREAS, Ms. Smith and her teammate Sylvia Liszewski went 5-7 for the season and 4-2 in SACC play; they led their team through a demanding schedule, contributing to multiple conference victories and demonstrating consistency, determination, and teamwork throughout the season; and WHEREAS, Brynn Smith epitomizes all that is good in today's student athletes, as she has achieved a high level of success in sports while evincing great character both on and off …
