Office of Student Health Affairs 2025 GENERAL SESSION STATE OF UTAH Chief Sponsor: Kathleen A. Riebe LONG TITLE General Description: This bill creates the Office of Student Health Affairs within the Department of Health and Human Services. Highlighted Provisions: This bill: - defines terms; - creates the Office of Student Health Affairs within the Department of Health and Human Services; - creates a director to oversee the office; - establishes the office's duties; - creates a reporting requirement; and - establishes a repeal date for some of the office's duties. Money Appropriated in this Bill: None Other Special Clauses: None Utah Code Sections Affected: AMENDS: 63I-1-226 , as last amended by Laws of Utah 2024, Third Special Session, Chapter 5 ENACTS: 26B-4-412 , Utah Code Annotated 1953 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah: Section 1, Section 26B-4-412 is enacted to read: 26B-4-412. Office of Student Health Affairs -- Creation -- Duties. (1) As used in this section: (a) "Director" means the director of the office appointed under Subsection (3). (b) "Office" means the Office of Student Health Affairs created in this Subsection (2). (2) There is created within the department the Office of Student Health Affairs. (3) (a) The executive director of the department shall appoint a director of the office who: (i) has a …
