2026 SESSION HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 291 Commending the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce. Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 10, 2026 Agreed to by the Senate, March 12, 2026 WHEREAS, for 25 years, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce has served as a leading advocate for the business community and a catalyst for economic growth in the Danville and Pittsylvania County region; and WHEREAS, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce was formed in 2001 through the merger of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce; since that time, the unified organization has grown to serve more than 600 member organizations and 23,000 member employees in the region, acting as a key advocate for regional economic development, collaboration, and business growth; and WHEREAS, representing hundreds of member organizations and thousands of employees, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce works to strengthen the regional economy by supporting businesses of all sizes, with a strong emphasis on small-business success; percent of the organization's members have fewer than five employees; and WHEREAS, through its programming, events, and partnerships, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce provides valuable opportunities for professional development, networking, leadership cultivation, and business engagement; signature events, educational programs, and industry roundtables bring together business leaders, elected officials, and community partners to address key …
