2026 SPECIAL SESSION I HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2152 Commending Jonathan C. Zur. Agreed to by the House of Delegates, June 22, 2026 WHEREAS, over the course of nearly 20 years of distinguished leadership, Jonathan C. Zur has served as president and chief executive officer of the nonprofit Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, touching countless lives through his work to promote understanding, mutual respect, and inclusion throughout the Commonwealth; and WHEREAS, Jonathan Zur joined the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities in 2006 and has transformed the organization by guiding significant growth in educational programs, leadership initiatives, and community engagement efforts to foster dialogue between people of different backgrounds, cultures, and faiths; and WHEREAS, during his tenure as president and chief executive officer, Jonathan Zur has quadrupled the size of the organization's staff, tripled its budget, and increased the number of programs it delivers by 3,000 percent; and WHEREAS, under Jonathan Zur's leadership, the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities has been recognized at the state and national levels for its effectiveness and commitment to excellence; and WHEREAS, in 2016, Jonathan Zur served as a speaker at the inaugural White House Summit on Diversity and Inclusion in Government, and in 2017, he was appointed by the governor to the Commonwealth Commission on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and WHEREAS, Jonathan Zur previously served as …
