____________________________ _____________________________ Councilmember Zachary Parker Councilmember Brooke Pinto _____________________________ __________________________ Councilmember Elissa Silverman Councilmember Charles Allen ___________________________ Councilmember Anita Bonds A CEREMONIAL RESOLUTION _________________________ IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA _________________________ To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bagels Etc. and the impact the establishment has had on Washingtonians seeking a comforting start to their day. WHEREAS, for 40 years, Bagels Etc. has continued its dedication to traditional bagelmaking techniques; WHEREAS, Bagels Etc. has prided itself in creating a welcoming atmosphere with cozy nooks and local artwork displayed; WHEREAS, the staff's friendly demeanor fosters a genuine sense of community to newcomers and regular customers; WHEREAS, Bagels Etc. is located in the bustling P Street corridor steps from cultural landmarks and Embassy Row; WHEREAS, Bagels Etc. adds to the neighborhood charm of Foggy Bottom and is frequented by students, commuters, and visitors. RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the "Bagels Etc. 40th Anniversary Recognition Resolution of 2026". Sec. 2. The Council of the District of Columbia recognizes and celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Bagels Etc. and the community the establishment fosters in the District. Sec. 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
