A BILL To direct the Director of National Intelligence to submit to Congress a report on the use of artificial intelligence systems to acquire, analyze, query, disseminate, or otherwise access information under section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978. SECTION 1. Report on use of artificial intelligence systems under section 702 of FISA (a) Report Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of National Intelligence shall submit to Congress a report on the use of artificial intelligence systems to acquire, analyze, query, disseminate, or otherwise access information under section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 ( 50 U.S.C. 1881a ). (b) Elements The report under subsection (a) shall include the following: (1) A summary of how elements of the intelligence community are using artificial intelligence systems pursuant to section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 ( 50 U.S.C. 1881a ) to acquire, analyze, query, disseminate, or otherwise access user data. (2) An assessment of the safeguards established by the elements of the intelligence community to ensure that such use of artificial intelligence is in compliance with such Act and the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
