A BILL To direct the Secretary of the Interior to offer for sale certain Bureau of Land Management land in Monterey County, California, and for other purposes. SECTION 1. Short title This Act may be cited as the Stockdale Mountain Land Conveyance Act . SECTION 2. Conveyance of BLM land (a) In general Notwithstanding any other provision of law, not later than 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall offer the covered land for sale to the public through competitive bidding procedures in accordance with section 2711.3-1 of title 43, Code of Federal Regulations (or successor regulations). (b) Method of conveyance The sale of the covered land under subsection (a) shall be-- (1) conducted in accordance with applicable Federal law governing the disposal of public lands; and (2) for not less than the fair market value of the covered land, as determined under subsection (d). (c) Survey and legal description The Secretary may, as necessary to carry out this Act-- (1) complete any surveys or legal descriptions of the covered land; and (2) correct any minor errors in the legal descriptions. (d) Appraisal Before offering the covered land for sale under subsection (a), the Secretary shall determine the fair market value of the covered land through an appraisal conducted in accordance with the …
